Abstract: Abstract The swirl of political dynamics swirling around Brazil’s agricultural development between January 1961 and March of 1964 had important implications for Brazil’s agriculture. Shifting political orientations within both the United States and Brazil created repercussions that slowed improvements in agricultural productivity.
