Chapter Chapter 1 in Transformative Entrepreneurship in the Global Landscape, 2025, pp 1-7 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The global business landscape has experienced unprecedented disruptions and challenges, particularly for female entrepreneurship and international business. This topic of global transformation and its impact on female entrepreneurship and international business is quickly gaining momentum. Internationalisation and globalisation are essential tactics for any company hoping to expand abroad. Female international entrepreneurship has become an interesting field of research and practice, as females are changing cultures and creating wealth for their countries. Existing female international entrepreneurship research has underlined that women have struggled to break the “glass ceiling” and run their businesses. This chapter introduces the relevance of the topic and the aim of this book, which is to understand how female international entrepreneurs interpret and respond to global transformation and how the transformation represents a creative endeavour in which opportunities arise and are exploited.
