Chapter Chapter 3 in Transformative Entrepreneurship in the Global Landscape, 2025, pp 35-62 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In light of the recent global disruption and the increasing prominence of digital technologies, internationalisation is regarded as a critical path for business growth and as a primary force behind agile market expansion for both established enterprises and start-up ventures. Transformative international entrepreneurship represents a dynamic approach to female business that prioritises positive social, economic, and environmental change over mere profit maximisation. This paradigm shift underscores the importance of value-driven business practices and the pivotal role of visionary female international entrepreneurs in driving international business and sustainable development. This chapter will address the evolution of the international process of the companies, from born global firms to the rise of the Unicorns start-ups and illustrate the main factors that affect the high international growth of these firms. This chapter also highlights the motivation and challenges faced by female international entrepreneurs. The chapter concludes with a case study about ‘Huda Kattan Beauty’ as a successful American global female entrepreneur in the cosmetic industry.
