A chapter in Energy Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, Innovation and Financing, 2025, pp 11-32 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Energy entrepreneurship has emerged as a key driver of innovation and sustainability in the global energy environment. The body of research on energy entrepreneurship has been expanding gradually. The energy context offers a fruitful research environment for scholars of entrepreneurship who are interested in the connection between innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth. The main aim of this paper is to provide a framework for recent energy entrepreneurship publications. The primary goal of this study is to identify some of the most relevant studies on this topic, as well as some of the most recent trends, using information from the Web of Science (WoS) database. The extracted studies have been evaluated from different perspectives such as country, method, sample, and sustainable development goals. Through the review of empirical evidence and case studies, this chapter elucidates the trends, opportunities, and gaps for future studies to explore the field of energy entrepreneurship.
