Chapter Chapter 3 in Stochastic Imperfect Inventory Systems, 2025, pp 127-212 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter focusses on imperfect inventory control model with rework process of unhealthy items. Eight mathematical models under different assumptions such as stochastic demand, stochastic defective rate, stochastic order frequency, stochastic quality level, and stochastic lead time are presented. Discount strategy, different kinds of shortage, and different levels of quality are other assumptions considered in descriptions of presented problems. For all presented models, solution models and numerical examples are provided to show the applicability of models.
