Chapter Chapter 5 in American Economists and the Greek Economy, 1947-62, 2025, pp 41-74 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This section is devoted to the quantitative aspects of foreign assistance to Greece after 1944. Charts and graphs document the extent of British, UNRRA and American assistance to the country. American ambassadors and heads of missions are introduced, and so are prominent Greek economists and politicians who left their mark on post war economic policy. The pros and cons of the economic assistance are briefly summarized.
