Chapter Chapter 4 in Proper Economic Policies Under the Post-Pandemic Era, 2025, pp 135-193 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract According to the Beveridge Curve, more vacancies are associated with lower unemployment rate. However, more recently in the USA, and since the onset of the pandemic, more vacancies limit the extent of public investments which are required to get to the same unemployment rate as in the past. One possible explanation is that some people are still reluctant to work because of the health risks from the Covid-19 symptom.
