Abstract: Abstract In the wake of the 2007–2008 crisis and its consequences for the global economy, this book contributes to the current literature on development finance by providing a comprehensive institutional theory of development banking. This theoretical model is then applied to the case of the Greek economy and useful policy implications are derived from the analysis.
