Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines the current phase of development banking in Greece with the establishment of the Hellenic Development Bank in 2019 as the successor to the development funds established in 2003 and 2011. The role of this national development bank, within the European framework and the new international standards, is analyzed, and its prospects are assessed in the light of both the previous historical experience of Greek development banking and the proposed institutional model. Primary data drawn from annual financial statements and Reports are also presented.
