Chapter Chapter 9 in Infodynamics, Economics, Energy, and Life, 2026, pp 109-116 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract What we now know for certain is that the production of useful energy and useful work requires useful information, as proposed here by a law of irreversible thermodynamics of open systems. Evidence for this law is the empirical evidence accumulated so far. A single counterexample can show this law to be false. I am not establishing a dogma but proposing a testable scientific law.
