Abstract: Abstract Sustainability is a very broad concept, and sustainability-oriented practices vary across difference industries due to many contextual factors. There are a variety of issues related to sustainability development such as water and air pollution, biodiversity, plastic waste, among other things. It has been recognized that companies need to seek synergies to manage various sustainability matters together. Thus, this chapter considers several cases of sustainability development in some major industries. The companies in these industries face different sustainability risks and opportunities. The focus of the chapter is on identification of these risks and opportunities and explore the practical approaches to address these challenges and ultimately to establish a robust system to achieve the objectives of sustainability development in changing environment.
