Abstract:
Abstract Money played an important role in the process of economic globalization (the author calls this influence Monetary Globalization), but globalization itself had a significant impact on money as an economic category. This influence has been particularly noticeable recently as Global Money has entered the agenda. At the same time, it is necessary to distinguish between possible options for the reign of Global Money as an economic category (gold, securities, and data money) and Global Currency as a specific form of such money (leading currency, world currency, and CBDC). The likelihood of choosing one of these options depends on many factors, the effect of which we will soon see.
