Abstract: Abstract Climate change is a word that is becoming ubiquitous in our contemporary life. We hear it in the media outlets, and we see it in the headlines of major news avenues. It is repeatedly mentioned by leaders, government officials, state dignitaries, spokes personnel, representatives of international organizations, public figures, and celebrities. The repercussions of climate change turned into an issue that is becoming an integral component of the agendas of political parties, the programs of politicians, and the core missions of international agencies and global forums. Curbing climate change became a component of the policies adopted by some countries, while activists around the world continue to pressure their governments for more action. Peaceful protests, or riots sometimes, erupt at every corner to save the planet from the consequences of climate change. It is becoming part of the continuous intense political debate between those who believe it is an existential threat to our planet and those concerned about the consequences of combatting it on the economy. It is also becoming an item that the public is coming to care about and a topic that guides their voting patterns, as seen in opinion polls prior to many elections.
