Chapter Chapter 1 in Structural Transformation and Economic Development in Africa, 2026, pp 3-16 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This edited volume contains 15 chapters based on selected papers presented at the 6th Annual Conference of the Centre for African Research on Enterprise and Economic Development (CAREED) held at the Paisley Campus of the University of West of Scotland in 2022. The theme of the conference and the basis for this book’s title was: Enterprise, Innovation and Structural Transformation of Africa in a Post-Covid Era. This is reflected in the three parts of the book; namely, Part I: challenges of structural transformation in Africa, Part II: entrepreneurship in Africa: finance, ownership and gender aspects, and Part III: supply and value chain challenges in Africa.
