Hypersurfaces and Bounded Bodies in Hilbert Spaces

Paolo d’Alessandro

Chapter Chapter 27 in On Range Space Techniques, Convex Cones, Polyhedra and Optimization in Infinite Dimensions, 2025, pp 439-447 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we focus on bounded bodies, and this leads to the infinite dimensional counterpart of the concept of Jordan hypersurfaces. We study the theory of these hypersurfaces and then show that, under a suitable transversality condition, the intersection of a Jordan surface with a closed linear subspace produces, within the subspace, another Jordan hypersurface.
