Chapter Chapter 9 in Sustainability in Business Management, Volume 1, 2025, pp 241-271 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract As our understanding of good governance and sustainability-driven corporate practices evolves, the relationship between human rights and business has transformed from a reactive focus of avoiding scandals to a proactive, strategic priority—one that embeds human rights considerations into every facet of business operations. With the acceleration of globalization, companies are increasingly accountable to a diverse array of stakeholders—including regulators, investors, consumers, and communities—who demand transparency, ethical conduct, and a firm commitment to upholding human rights.
