Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we provide a thematic review of the articles in our sample to take stock of the knowledgeknowledge collectively generated by academic research. The objective is to contextualize family business succession and to put this phenomenon into perspective by examining the empirical results and the theoretical arguments of published research.
