Abstract:
Abstract Despite significant efforts undertaken to address environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, we still face a critical gap in developing and implementing effective strategies to educate and raise awareness about these environmental challenges. The central problem is that, although there is a significant amount of information available on environmental issues, this information is often not accessible, understandable, or motivating enough to generate significant behavior changes. Furthermore, traditional approaches to environmental education often face challenges in reaching and motivating diverse audiences, especially in an increasingly digital and fragmented world. In this sense, the proposed research aims to explore how digital platforms can be effectively used to fill this gap in environmental education and awareness. The central question is to identify which digital strategies and tools are successfully used to communicate environmental information in an accessible, engaging, and impactful way, and how these platforms can be used to inspire action and behavior change toward more sustainable practices. By addressing this issue, we hope to not only better understand the potential of digital platforms in promoting environmental education but also identify practical guidelines for developing and implementing effective initiatives in this field. In doing so, we seek to contribute to a significant increase in public engagement and awareness of environmental issues, empowering individuals to become agents of change in their communities and beyond.
