Abstract: Abstract The aim of this study is to understand how it is possible to make use of intangible heritage, namely the Entrançado da Palha, in tourism activities, contributing to its valorisation. This ancient knowledge, which characterises the municipality of Fafe and which must be used to make the region visible, should not be overlooked. At the same time, it should enrich the tourist experience in Fafe. The data collection is mainly based on data and information gathered through semi-structured interviews with artisans from the communities of Travassós (parish of Fafe). This research involves the use of action research, based on the iterative collection and analysis of data and the application of research findings to improve the practices of the municipality of Fafe in relation to this tourist resource. In addition, literature review was carried out, alluding to the central themes of this project, such as craftsmanship, cultural tourism, authenticity and the tourist experience, in order to approach the object of study with greater precision and depth. An exploratory study was then carried out using qualitative methods, through the preparation of interviews, with the aim of gathering as much relevant information as possible in order to improve this project.
