Chapter Chapter 5 in The Business of Quantum Technologies, 2025, pp 115-138 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter provides a discussion of how quantum technologies from different application areas may integrate with one another to create radically new customer value propositions, business models, and industrial architectures. The chapter highlights the approach to transition to a quantum-enabled economy, the associated policy considerations and the need for responsible innovation initiatives to ensure equitable societal benefits. The chapter also explores philosophical interpretations of quantum mechanics and their influence on how scientists, engineers, and business leaders perceive and frame technological possibilities as it could influence the development of business models. The chapter concludes with a discussion of the challenges and opportunities for businesses in adopting quantum technologies.
