Abstract:
Abstract With the deterioration of global climate change, seeking cooperation opportunities to address climate change has become increasingly important to the process of China-Africa cooperation in the new era. China and African countries have strengthened coordination under the South-South cooperation mechanism, established a strategic partnership to address climate change, and issued the China-Africa Declaration on Addressing Climate Change, which has effectively enhanced the resilience and capacity of African countries to address climate change. However, although EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) has been legislated, it is not suitable for developing countries, and the green barriers formed by some specific measures of CBAM also have some impact on the international trade of developing countries. Therefore, it is also necessary to discuss the necessity and feasibility of China-Africa cooperation to address the challenges of unilateral measures of developed countries, so as to address some challenges in China-Africa cooperation, because the China-Africa emissions trading mechanism already has a basis for cooperation, and the relevant theories on the international linkage of emissions trading schemes are basically mature, and some explorations have been carried out in practice. Most importantly, China and Africa have further deepened the path selection and improved the system for addressing climate change by improving the top-level design, focusing on long-term development, achieving win-win results for all parties, and improving the regional emissions trading scheme of China-Africa cooperation.
