Abstract: Abstract This chapter reflects on history to understand the development of the Lean System and Digital Technologies, examining the key stages and timelines involved. This retrospective analysis will help address whether these changes represent a revolution or a transformation. Additionally, it will explore the role of constraints in scenarios of change and innovation and identify the ideal conditions for adopting new managerial and technological solutions. The chapter concludes with initial lessons learned from history regarding two promising and relevant solutions: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Metaverse.
