Chapter Chapter 5 in Sustainable Performance in the Digital Age, 2025, pp 129-226 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter analyzes Lean and Digital strategies individually to grasp their contributions to the doubly sustainable performance described by the criteria presented at the end of Chap. 4 . Building on the definitions and scope (“what”) discussed in Chap. 2 , we will then continue with the purpose and goals (“why”), the deployment methods with or without automation (“how”), the associated organizations (“who”), the most relevant use cases and application limitations (“when” and “where”). The aim is to assess compliance with the performance criteria.
