Chapter Chapter 4 in Multivariate Statistics and Machine Learning in R For Beginners, 2025, pp 47-71 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter focuses on how to plot multivariate data using a variety of visualizations, including boxplots, scatter plots, violin plots, profile plots, and scatter plot matrices. In addition to helping us understand data distribution and identify patterns, graphical representations can also aid in detecting outliers. The R code is explained in detail for producing these plots using base R functions, as well as how to create similar plots with the ggplot2 package. ggplot2 is a powerful data visualization package in R, designed to produce plots with a more polished appearance compared to the built-in plotting functions.
