Chapter Chapter 1 in Positive Leadership, 2026, pp 3-14 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this book, we approach the phenomenon and concept of positive leadership. In short, positive leadership is considered the key to happy and productive workplaces. However, when taking a closer look, positive leadership is a far more complicated phenomenon. In this introductory chapter, we discuss the phenomenon of positive leadership at three levels: (1) positive leadership as a leadership paradigm, (2) positive leadership as a leadership theory, and (3) positive leadership as a means of applying positive psychological research in people management. After going over the aforementioned dimensions of positive leadership, we introduce the contents of the book, followed by a discussion of the future of positive leadership.
