Chapter 11 in Co-creating Luxury Customer Experiences in Tourism, 2026, pp 181-187 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter considers two issues that will shape the future of the luxury yachting industry: human resources and technological advancement. In terms of human resources, the chapter raises issues around what will be required to recruit, train, and retain crew that are better able to adapt to increasingly challenging operations and changing responsibilities to meet a changing clientele with changing expectations. In terms of technological advancement, the chapter discusses the new technologies and innovations that will increasingly become a feature of superyachting. The discussion is based on the author’s own professional observations during his service in the industry.
