Summary and Conclusions
Vani Borooah
Chapter 7 in The Political Economy of Terrorism, 2026, pp 231-239 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter summarises the book’s findings and offers a prognosis for the future of terrorism in India. The BJP has defanged terrorism in the Northeast through the spread of the part’s political involvement in several states of the region and by focusing on issues of development, ethnicity, and territorial security. It has invested in fighting left-wing extremism. The problem that is likely to continue is Pakistan’s use of terrorist groups to fight a proxy war in Jammu and Kashmir.
