Chapter 11 in Vietnam's Economic Leap, 2025, pp 251-285 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Education is considered a driver of economic growth and a crucial element in overcoming the middle-income trap. Education serves as a bridge between knowledge and practice, establishing a foundation for innovation. It equips individuals with skills to adapt to a changing society, fosters creativity, and contributes to a sustainable society. Countries such as Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea illustrate the benefits of investing in human capital, as their substantial investments in education, research, and training have propelled them to high-income status.
