Chapter 6 in Financial Social Media, 2026, pp 89-117 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Researchers employ various web-crawling tools to extract financial social media (FSM hereafter) data and store it in different types of database systems. In my case, I developed custom software using Visual Basic to collect data from the WallStreetPit trading board hosted on TheLion.com. I also designed a Microsoft Access database to store the extracted text data.
