Chapter Chapter 11 in Marketing Analytics and Data Science, 2026, pp 205-218 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The study of cause-and-effect relationships dates back to ancient philosophy when early thinkers sought to explain the forces shaping the world around them. In the modern era, the ability to identify causes behind observed phenomena has become fundamental across disciplines such as business, science, and economics. The goals of finding answers to these questions have shifted from satisfying curiosity in ancient times to seeking ways to change the outcomes in modern days.
