Abstract: Abstract In strategies towards a decarbonised world, the need to examine inequalities that have been produced by histories of colonisation and ongoing neoliberalism is important. This chapter explores the relationality between histories and practices towards imagining the world differently for climate outcomes, building on arguments for an interdisciplinary perspective of climate justice. The discussion considers what a decolonial shift could offer in the pursuit of climate justice, which includes a focus on decarbonisation and beyond. It argues that historical acknowledgement and considerations of repair should become of greater relevance for a framework of ideas for decolonial decarbonisation moving ahead.
