A chapter in Pedagogical Case Studies in Purchasing and Supply Management, 2026, pp 139-153 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This teaching case focuses on the elaboration of risk mitigation strategies at Hydro-Québec, a leader in the utilities sector in North America. Students are invited to assume the role of a junior buyer responsible for developing procurement strategies for super-efficient circuit breakers, an important purchasing category at Hydro-Québec. The task is to propose supply risk mitigation strategies for this category based on information on the organization, the category, the supply market, and the current suppliers.
