Chapter Chapter 17 in Spherical Geometry in the Eighteenth Century I, 2026, pp 371-375 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this memoir, Lagrange gives a solution to a problem of plane geometry that Euler calls the “Pappus problem” in his memoir Problematis cuiusdam Pappi Alexandrini constructio. The problem is to construct a triangle which is inscribed in a given circle and whose three sides are contained in three lines that are required to pass through three given points.
