Chapter Chapter 19 in Spherical Geometry in the Eighteenth Century I, 2026, pp 403-435 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this memoir, Lambert establishes a complete system of formulae of spherical trigonometry, which he reduces then to a set of four formulae, and he makes them fit to the use of computations with logarithms. He also gives a geometric interpretation of the so-called Napier rules which summarize the relations between any three parameters (angle or side length) of a right-angled spherical triangle, using cyclic transformations of a given triangle.
