Abstract: Abstract This introductory chapter lays the foundation for critically exploring colonial legacies in enterprise and management practices. It highlights how dominant models of entrepreneurship and enterprise management often reflect Eurocentric frameworks that marginalise indigenous knowledge systems, cultural diversity, and locally rooted entrepreneurial practices. The chapter also outlines the scope, objectives, and structure of the book, providing readers with a roadmap for understanding how decolonial theory can transform entrepreneurial ecosystems, enterprise management practices, and organisational dynamics. It positions the book within the broader discourse of decolonisation, arguing that reimagining enterprise requires dismantling entrenched power structures and fostering inclusivity, equity, and sustainability. Furthermore, the chapter identifies the emerging perspectives in entrepreneurship and enterprise management by highlighting key themes and findings from the remaining chapters. This provides a basis for rethinking enterprise as a tool for social transformation.
