Abstract:
Abstract Visualization of information patterns in mathematics refers to the use of visual representations (graphs, diagrams, geometric constructions, or computer-generated simulations) to uncover or recognize recurring structures, trends, patterns, and relationships in data. This introduction to the section “Visualization of Information Patterns” surveys the historical development and modern applications of visualization as a mathematical and interdisciplinary tool.
