Chapter 19 in The Origins of Holomorphic Dynamics, 2026, pp 303-326 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The goals of the three theories of infinite sums in one complex variable, single-valued and analytic functions, and holomorphic dynamics came together in the Grand Prix edition of 1915-1918. This approach to iteration can be seen as a brilliant example of the interaction between sequences of functions and their singular points: periodic, maxima, minima, exceptional, and discontinuities.
