Chapter Chapter 6 in Inclusive Leadership and Employee Voice, 2026, pp 73-87 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter highlights the pivotal role of middle managers in advancing inclusive leadership. Positioned between senior leaders and employees, they balance dual responsibilities as leaders and followers, enabling them to shape culture and drive engagement. The chapter examines how middle managers foster inclusivity by amplifying diverse voices, encouraging dialogue, and connecting strategy with employees’ everyday realities. Emphasis is placed on their capacity to empower staff to share ideas and feedback. Practical insights are offered to strengthen middle managers’ inclusive leadership skills, bridge organisational gaps, and ensure employee voice informs decision-making.
