Abstract Once Investor Relations strategy and execution disciplines are in place, the question naturally arises of how to assess whether the function is creating value. This chapter now addresses whether the competitive advantages expected from IR are being actually delivered. It introduces measurement frameworks that go beyond activity metrics and focus on capital-market outcomes, demonstrating return on investment and guiding continuous improvement.
