Chapter Chapter 10 in Agentic AI for Procurement, 2026, pp 177-195 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter examines the integration requirements for using Agentic AI (AAI) within corporate procurement ecosystems. The analysis considers technical interoperability frameworks, data governance protocols, and cybersecurity considerations to facilitate collaboration with established Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Logistics Management Systems (LMS), and specialized procurement and partner platforms. Through a detailed look at integration topologies, this chapter shows how AAIs can utilize large amounts of enterprise data without violating compliance rules and keeping the system stable. Real-world case studies show how integration strategies can lead to better operational outcomes without compromising the security or performance of the current system. This chapter emphasizes that successful AAI implementations in complex enterprise environments depend on effective integration, which is both a technological difficulty and a strategic necessity.
