Abstract: Abstract Throughout this book I have treated ChatGPT as one more tool on my desk. It sits next to LATEX, TikZ, and a computer algebra system. I also keep scrap paper nearby for calculations. I have seen ChatGPT assist me in many settings to help check and polish proofs, propose examples and counterexamples. It can support computation and experimentation, explain concepts at multiple levels, design courses and exercises, smooth the mechanics of LATEX and diagrams, and support large writing projects.
