Chapter Chapter 8 in The Vexing Case of Igor Shafarevich, a Russian Political Thinker, 2012, pp 233-365 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract During the years 1978–1982 Shafarevich rewrote many times anew what was to become his most controversial article, Russophobia. He has later admitted that still at that time “it did not even occur to me that this work could be published during my lifetime. [In 1982 or 1983,] after wavering for a long time, we decided with friends to spread it in Samizdat, hoping that out of the dozens of copies at least some would be spared.”
