A chapter in Amphora, 1992, pp 171-181 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this paper we deal with a short section1 of AL-KāShī’s Book “On Measurements„, one of the five parts of his Key of Arithmetic. It treats the calculation of the surface area and volume of domes, esp. those of funerary monuments. After a general explanation of his method al-KāSHī gives a practical example. One of his results we check by modern methods.
