Abstract:
Abstract The paper describes the use of the geometrical study of historical constructions for the determination of their load-bearing system and the possibility of graphical approaches for the study of the response and possible equilibrium states of the structure. This is linked to the graphical representation of damage in the construction, that constitutes an interpretation tool for the effective load path taking place and its evolution in time. Moreover optical techniques take a role also in the measurement of the mechanical response of these constructions.
