Chapter Chapter 15 in Fixed Point Theory in Distance Spaces, 2014, pp 153-158 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract A generalization of metric spaces called “diversities” has been introduced by Bryant and Tupper in [43]. It is shown there that remarkable analogies exist between hyperconvex metric spaces and diversities, especially involving the “tight span” (otherwise called the injective or hyperconvex envelop).
