Abstract: Abstract This study is to shed light on new venture creation issues in China, primarily focusing on ICT sectors. Adopting mainly qualitative method, it explores the factors that foster or hinder the process of Chinese new venture creation in Information and Communication Technology domain. Besides discussing with entrepreneurs, the authors also took one step further to interview a control group, which consists of scholars, partners from private equity firms, incubator officers and managers from commercial banks. Voices from different sources not only contribute to a comprehensive perspective but also provide implications for future research.
