Abstract: Abstract We will soon realize that linear differential equations with turning points turning point (Wendepunkts, in German) can feature complicated behavior. One of the best collections of illustrative examples (with sketches of the limiting solutions) is contained in the first chapter of a Dutch thesis, Hemker [202] Hemker’s thesis , which aimed to provide methods to solve such two-point singularly perturbed problems numerically.
