Data Visualization

Manas A. Pathak ()

Chapter 4 in Beginning Data Science with R, 2014, pp 31-60 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we look at data visualization with R. Obtaining a visual representation of the data has multiple advantages: as humans, we are better at extracting information from visual cues, so a visual representation is usually more intuitive than a textual representation. Second, data visualization, for the most part, also involves a data summarization step; a visualization provides a concise snapshot of the data.
