Two Systems: One World
Wei Yen
Chapter 14 in From the Great Wall to Wall Street, 2017, pp 255-260 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Culture affects how we live and make decisions. Because Chinese and Western cultures developed independently thousands of years ago, they remain separate and distinct despite periodic efforts to assimilate them. Suffice to say, their leadership and management styles are also quite different. If we compare these two styles from a cross-cultural perspective, we should be able to identify their relative strengths and weaknesses, and take the best from both worlds.
