Chapter Chapter 7 in Open Problems in the Geometry and Analysis of Banach Spaces, 2016, pp 129-134 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Schauder’s theorem theorem Schauder on fixed points asserts (see the comments to Problem 274 above) that if C is a compact compact and fixed points convex set convex set compact in a Banach space X and if f is a continuous mapping from C into C, then f has a fixed point point fixed fixed point , i.e., there is x ∈ C such that f(x) = x (cf., e.g., [FHHMZ11, p. 542]).
